Playing
How do I play?
Move by dragging on a phone, or with WASD or the arrow keys. Hold Roll (Space or the left mouse button) to push a snowball that grows as you walk, and let go to throw it. Right-click or E turns your ball into a snow wall; on a phone, keep holding ROLL and slide your thumb onto WALL.
How do I win?
Hit other players to score; bigger balls score more, and a giant one can take out a crowd. In a room with a time limit, the highest score when the clock runs out wins the round.
What are hot cocoa and energy orbs?
A hot cocoa mug gives you a heart back when you are hurt. When someone is snowed in they leave an energy orb for 12 seconds: grab it for a heart and a big snowball ready to throw.
What happens when I lose all my hearts?
You are snowed in for 3 seconds, then you come back somewhere quiet with a moment of safety. You keep your score.

What can the room owner change?
Whoever created the room gets the ⚙ button: add or remove bots, choose their level, change the time limit, pause the game, and start the next round early.
What are bots?

Why does it check that I am human?
To keep spam bots out of the rooms. Before your first game Cloudflare runs a quick check in the background; most people never see it, and sometimes it asks for one click. It lasts a day, so you are not asked again when you reconnect or change rooms.
Do you use cookies?
Only one of our own: it remembers that you passed the human check, for a day. Google Analytics, which counts visits and how people find the game, sets its cookies only if you press Accept in the banner; with No thanks nothing is sent to Google. You can change your answer under About → Cookie choice.
How can I contact you?
Email contact@snowballfightonline.com with ideas, bugs, or a private event for your team. The About panel (ℹ️) has the address too.
What do you keep about me?
There are no accounts. Your animal and settings stay in your own browser, with a random ID that lets us count returning players. To improve the game and stop abuse, the server keeps an activity log for 90 days: when you visit and which link brought you, when you join and leave a game, the name you played under, your game stats, your internet address with the rough location and provider it points to, your device and browser, and any errors. Other players see only your name, your animal and the flag of your country.
